Elizabeth Avery, a woman with the ability to manipulate people into committing crimes, kills a young journalist, and, when her crime catches the attention of federal prosecutor Allison Pierce, FBI agent Nicole Hedges, and crime reporter Cassidy Shaw, she decides the only way to avoid getting caught is to make matters personal with the three women, whom she happens to know.
