In this ancient Greek comedy, Strepsiades has a problem: his good-for-nothing son Pheidippides is gambling away his fortune on horses. Strepsiades wants to send his son to the Thinkery, an expensive school of sophisticated rhetoric, so that Pheidippides can talk his way out of Strepsiades’ debts.
