	This young country boy with a mechanical aptitude, has a fascination with aviation, and ultimately achieves his ambition. Starting as an assistant to a town mechanic, he becomes a qualified mechanic. 	He travelled to the U.K. and Joined the AVRO Airplane Company and became an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and a Pilot. During WW1 he served as a Ferry Pilot in Europe and in the Desert campaign. After the War, Jimmy married, had a family and successfully joined the newly established Aviation Industry in Australia. 
	The two school friends of Jimmy's endured the horrors of WW1 and survived to tell their stories.
	The book combines Fiction with Facts. It will entertain the reader interested in Australian Military events of those turbulent WW1 years, of long ago.
